A very special review!

Manual Arts DEpt.
Good day!
We must say a heartfelt "thank you" to all those whom have left such kind product reviews.  They really do make our day!!
A particularly special one we must share here is in response to a product that we no longer offer, but were utterly proud to have created.  And for this lovely customer, we created two!
Please enjoy Diane's super sweet review below:

New Year, New Product!

Wow!

Somehow it got to be 2019, how about that!!

Yes, it's been a while since we've posted here but our motto is "quality over quantity". (Questionable, but we're sticking to it!).

Whilst 2018 at Manual Arts DEpt. HQ yielded improved stock storage solutions and upgrades in workshop machinery (yay!), we're ringing in 2019 with a new product to add to our range.

Imperfect inspiration

We have made a recent triumphant purchase.  The breathtaking book by Karen McCartney, Perfect Imperfect.

Along with Sharyn Cairns (photographer) and Glen Proebstel (stylist), Karen McCartney has created a wonderfully warm, thought-provoking book that we are sure to treasure and adore for years to come.

The photography, styling and words come together to form a delicious combination of texture, tone, history, character, personal discoveries and journeys - all referencing the "beauty of accident, age and patina".

Please welcome to the stage...

We thought we should formally introduce you to the newest Manual Arts DEpt. family member: our Personalised Raindrop Wooden Tray.
Nature-inspired (again), we created this product design as a functional and sculptural receptacle for those treasured trinkets or jewellery items.
Crafted from our beloved Spotted Gum Australian hardwood, each Raindrop is hand-sculpted and polished to a deliciously-tactile finish and engraved with a personalised monogram - creating a one-of-a-kind milestone gift to cherish.

Hidden messages (Part 2).....

As an alternative to our Text Message Personalised Keepsake, we were interested in creating another meaningful memento onto which a message could be conveyed.  We arrived at an arrow as being not only striking in a design sense, but also as symbolic of so many poignant things in life - with "love" being top of the list!  Next, was how to engrave the message in a stylised and original way so as to add to the object's overall aesthetic appeal.
