New Year, New Product!

Wow!

Somehow it got to be 2019, how about that!!

Yes, it's been a while since we've posted here but our motto is "quality over quantity". (Questionable, but we're sticking to it!).

Whilst 2018 at Manual Arts DEpt. HQ yielded improved stock storage solutions and upgrades in workshop machinery (yay!), we're ringing in 2019 with a new product to add to our range.

Please welcome to the stage...

We thought we should formally introduce you to the newest Manual Arts DEpt. family member: our Personalised Raindrop Wooden Tray.
Nature-inspired (again), we created this product design as a functional and sculptural receptacle for those treasured trinkets or jewellery items.
Crafted from our beloved Spotted Gum Australian hardwood, each Raindrop is hand-sculpted and polished to a deliciously-tactile finish and engraved with a personalised monogram - creating a one-of-a-kind milestone gift to cherish.

Brand new day

One of the final stages to finishing our hardwood products is to brand them with our abbreviated name, M.A.DE.

This is done using a propane gas torch to heat the aluminium brand that we created ourselves.  It only takes a few seconds.

It takes less than that to burn yourself if you're not paying attention when someone is taking your photo :)

 Personalised Love Birds Serving Board

The most recent addition to our range, the “Love Birds Serving Board” is a personalised platter, which allows the “hosts with the most” to celebrate their love in the best way - through the sharing of gourmet delights with friends and family.
After all, it doesn’t get much better than enjoying simple pleasures with the ones you love.

Mum's the word.

We got a bit sentimental recently when photographing images for our new Personalised Wooden Keepsake.  This gift idea was created as a more feminine alternative to our Anchor Keepsake memento.
We gathered some props for the shoot and ended up using a tea cup and saucer given to us by one of our grandmothers, pastries lovingly baked by one mum and a beautiful old polaroid of our other mum.
