 Personalised Love Birds Serving Board

The most recent addition to our range, the “Love Birds Serving Board” is a personalised platter, which allows the “hosts with the most” to celebrate their love in the best way - through the sharing of gourmet delights with friends and family. 
After all, it doesn’t get much better than enjoying simple pleasures with the ones you love.


Mum's the word.

We got a bit sentimental recently when photographing images for our new Personalised Wooden Keepsake.  This gift idea was created as a more feminine alternative to our Anchor Keepsake memento.
We gathered some props for the shoot and ended up using a tea cup and saucer given to us by one of our grandmothers, pastries lovingly baked by one mum and a beautiful old polaroid of our other mum.

Hidden messages (Part 2).....

As an alternative to our Text Message Personalised Keepsake, we were interested in creating another meaningful memento onto which a message could be conveyed.  We arrived at an arrow as being not only striking in a design sense, but also as symbolic of so many poignant things in life - with "love" being top of the list!  Next, was how to engrave the message in a stylised and original way so as to add to the object's overall aesthetic appeal.

Text Message Personalised Keepsake sleeve design

We recently designed a sleeve for our product the Text Message Personalised Keepsake.  The reasons for this were twofold:

  1. We wanted the recipient to know what it was that they were receiving, in terms of a product name, what it is made from, and who made it. (That’s us!)
  2. We felt that the personal message engraved onto the keepsake should be hidden at first glance, allowing the anticipation to build… and then on unwrapping… message revealed!

Is it goodbye to the sketchbook???




Last week we had a “team design meeting”.

Translation: The two of us chatting in the lounge room with coffee, cake and Double J radio :)

Anyway, during this session, we discovered the effectiveness of sketching ideas directly onto the material from which the item will ultimately be created.  The drawings we realised could then be done to scale and give a more immediate visualisation of the overall product concept.

Appreciation of the timber grain pattern and warm colours of the material provides us with a more realistic glimpse of the...
